Jim Palmer has been Senior Pastor at Miles
Road since 1993. By God's grace and the faithful sacrifice of many, Miles Road has become a leading church in South Carolina and a nationally recognized church by Lifeway. Jim holds a doctorate from Covington Theological School and is a popular speaker on bible prophecy and current events. Please click HERE to be directed to the Pastor's Prophecy Notes.
He, and his wife, Randi, have three sons and daughter-in-laws; plus a beautiful granddaughter, Alyssa Michelle.
Sam joined the staff in 2008 to serve full time as Minister to Students. He received Christ as his personal Savior at Miles Road Baptist Church in January of 1997. Later, in 2003, he was blessed to be called to fulltime ministry. Currently, he is working towards a Bachelor’s degree from Covington Theological Seminary. His passion is to see teenagers receive a PERSONAL relationship with Jesus Christ and not just know it, but live it, and share it!
He has a lovely wife, Kimberly and three beautiful children: Taylor, Colton, and Garret. He enjoys coaching softball, watching football, and hanging out with his family.
Keith Wilson has served as Minister of Music at
Miles Road Baptist since 1993. He accepted Christ when he was
seven years old and received his call into the Music Ministry in
1989. Keith graduated with a B.A. in Music from Charleston Southern
University and later earned a Doctorate Degree in Music from Covington Theological School.
Keith is married to Kimberly and they have 4 children: Brittany,
Kyle, Courtney, and Connor. Keith enjoys working out, coaching his
kids in sports, and spending time with his family.
Having accepted Christ on December 8, 1984, Norman
is the product of the ministry of Miles Road Baptist Church. In
the twenty(+) years at Miles Road, Norman has given a lot of his
time and energy working in the areas of church construction and
heavily in the ministry of teaching. He is currently pursuing knowledge
and education to continue growing in and with the ministry through
Liberty University's Distance Learning Program, seeking a multi-disciplinary
degree of Business and Religion.
His responsibilities not only include the oversight of the Education
ministry, but like all staff members, he shares in the ministry
of visiting the sick and shut-ins as well as aiding the Pastor with
any duty necessary to fulfill the ministry of and to the church
body.
Karen Davis joined the staff at Miles Road in
January, 2005. She has been a member of Miles Road for 6 years and
has been involved with the Sunday School department, Children's
Church, and Youth Ministries here at Miles Road. She has known Jesus
as her Lord and Savior for 30 years. Her love for the Lord has overflowed
into her love for the children and their opportunity to learn about
Jesus and know that He loves them. She also has a heart to keep
our teachers and helpers encouraged as they teach God's Word to
our children and show His love to them.
Karen and her husband, Tim, have two boys who have been involved
in the youth group. She enjoys playing softball for the church,
meeting people, and spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Debbi Dunlap joined the staff at Miles Road
in September of 2007. She is a respected Christian counselor and
popular women's conference speaker. Debbi graduated from Florida
State University, has done master's work at Southwestern Theological
Seminary and holds a doctorate from Master's Graduate School of
Divinity. Dr. Dunlap is currently completing a PhD dissertation
in Interdisciplinary Studies at Trinity College and Seminary.
Debbi has a passion for helping people and families come to know
Christ and apply the life-changing authoritative truths of Scripture.
All members and regular visitors of MRBC in need of counseling,
are invited to call the church office and set up an appointment
with Dr. Dunlap.
Debbi and her late husband, Dr. Don Dunlap, were married for 30
years and are the parents of 10 children. She and her five youngest
children now reside here in Summerville, SC.
